Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
